I may be a loser, but I’m no cheat

Posted by Lisa in LessLisa

Well. I’m now one week into the challenge. 7 full days. I haven’t cheated, went over points, or been low on water ONE time this entire week. There were two days with no documented intentional exercise, but I haven’t spent one day doing nothing. I have kept myself moving and busy and it’s paying off. Besides 5 out of 7 days with great intentional exercise is awesome.

So, you wanna know the payoff so far?? 5-FREAKING-POUNDS!!! Yes, ladies & gents, my very first week of sticking to it has paid off to the tune of 5 lbs.

I was really worried, because I know when you begin lifting weights there can be a stall in weight loss…I didn’t want to not see a loss this week for fear of frustration and giving up setting in.

Do you remember a few posts back, I talked about wishing that I could get that ‘mad-dieter’ attitude going? Be careful what you wish for…last night, I was so freaking hungry, had no points left, and could have shot spikes out of my eyes if you would have eaten a MORSEL in front of me. It was 7:30 p.m. Usually after 6 p.m. I’m good. Doesn’t bother me. Last night, not the case. Clint said it may be my metabolism beginning to speed up, which means I will need to spread my food out more through the day so that I can still eat a snack later on if I want to. Yesterday was just unbelieveable hunger though…that hasn’t happened in a long time. So, to fix it, and not ruin my day, I downed 3 big glasses (20 oz. each) of my crystal lite green tea and went to bed.

When I went to the gym last night, I left early because for some reason, I was thinking the Tuesday night classes started last night. So when I got there, there was no one there…I checked the schedule again, and the classes don’t begin until NEXT week. So I took my bag and headed to the workout room, because, after all, that’s what I MEANT to go there for.

    Lisa-
I have your blog bookmarked for diet blogs and was checking them out for inspiration. The man gas blog was a riot!
We have planet fitness in our area where grunting is not allowed. It’s affordable, but the parking is horrible, so I quit. At least we have a small gym where I work and I get in the ellipt and treadmill in . I will have to learn weights, which always seems intimidating to me. But it seems to be working for you, so I will give it a go.
    Keep up the great work!

That dirty b…….d probably loooooves sniffing his farts all up. Can you imagine what he would be like in his home???? The mind boggles. What a pig!

Well done on the 5Lbs, Lisa. Don’t go too crazy on this regime as you want to maintain the healthy eating lifestyle. The harder you make it, the less easier it becomes to keep it up fulltime.
I eat a very easy to prepare and no measuring type of diet, for want of a better word… I don’t get hungry and I don’t have to buy any separate food in. Let me know if you want it written out. I do juicing and THAT is a pain. Specially the cleaning bit. Keep it up….
