PEE-MY-PANTS-EXCITED

First meeting was a m a z i n g. And at the risk of sounding really gooberish, when the meeting started, I could just feel the energy in the room. I had forgotten how supportive everyone is. Even if you lose 0.2 lbs. these people are ecstatic for you. What a great feeling it was to be in a room with 30 people who are there for the exact same reason as you, and understand everything you are in for.

I’m freaking PSYCHED.

It was kind of comical though, because every single person there thought I was INSANE for joining the week before Christmas. Why wait, right??? This will keep me focused on the fact that the meaning of Christmas has NOTHING to do with food.

The new Momentum program is really similar to the Flex/Core plan, with a few minor changes. Like they now ask that you get in 6 glasses of ‘liquids’ per day instead of 6 glasses of water. Which means, your diet pop, coffee, etc. all count as your ‘liquids’ for the day. That one, to me, sounds like disaster waiting to happen, but who knows. And instead of saying ‘here are your points you need to fill per day, so fill them with whatever you want, just don’t go over’ kinda thing, they are focusing on more ‘filling’ foods. Healthier ways to fill your points and keep you fuller longer.

I also bought the starter kit (new 2009 editions of the Complete Food Companion, Dining Out Companion, 3 month journal, and a Quick Fixes recipe booklet with 50 recipes). The only reason I bought the new starter kit (I still have my old books and sliders) was because mine are waaaay outdated and these new ones have the ‘filling’ foods all marked with green diamonds to make locating the healthier foods, faster and easier.

So tomorrow is THEE day. Back to tracking every bite, drink and activity. *SQUEEE*

WOO HOO!! Glad you have such a great meeting!! It makes such a huge difference, I think.

BTW, I’m with you on the whole “liquids” thing. I’ve opted not to count anything carbonated or caffeinated toward my liquids requirement. For me, I only count it if it’s water, fruit juice, Crystal Light, milk, etc.

OK…Today at 9:30am and I will update when I get back!! Getting excited and a lil anxious. lol

As for the liquid thing…I only count water and milk…don’t drink juice because of the sugars in it. D. Pop has soo much sodium in it unless its D. Rite that seems to be 0 alll the way but I need to break my habit. I never use to drink much and lately I have been addicted to regular Coke! No more of that!!
