A deep total lunar eclipse on September 7–8, 2025, turned the Moon red for billions across Asia, Africa, and Oceania. Europe saw the Moon rise already in shadow, while North America barely caught it. With an umbral magnitude of 1.36379, totality was long and striking. Streams and photographers captured the show, part of an eclipse season that also brings a partial solar eclipse on September 21.
